ENGLISH 4 credits
SOCIAL STUDIES 3 credits
(Including 1 credit in US History
and ½ credit in civics/government course)
MATH 3 credits
SCIENCE 2 credits
PHYSICAL EDUCATION 1 credit
(Including 1 marking period of Heath)
ARTS or VOCATIONAL ED. 1 credit
COMPUTER-BASED COURSE 1 credit
Students MUST demonstrate proficiency in MATH and LITERACY through the CAPT test OR an alternative designated by the Waterbury Board of Education.
College-bound students are STRONGLY recommended to take 4 credits (4 years) of English, math, science and social studies. In addition, at least 2 years (minimum) of one foreign language is recommended for admission to college.
Students MUST participate in SUBSTANCE ABUSE EDUCATION -
17 classes each year in grades 10, 11 and 12.
