February is the shortest month of the school year!!! We will have outdoor recess if the temp rises above 32 degrees. Parents please make sure your child comes to school prepared for the cold weather we will be sending the children out to recess daily
when weather permits. It would be best if their names are in their coat someplace in-case they get missed placed during the day. We do have a lost and found outside the office door if your child is missing something.
A reminder about visiting school: The new visitor’s policy requires all parents to give 24 hour notice or set up an appointment when meeting with teachers. Also all visitors must stop at the office Leave a photo id, and receive a visitor’s pass that is to be visible while in the building. Parents are not allowed in the building without at pass. If you have business in the nurse’s office please return to the office after you have concluded your business. We ask that you do not visit your child’s classroom. This interrupts instructional time.
Please speak to your child about treating out café as if they are eating at a restaurant. The expectations in the café are aligned with our Genreali Star Behavior program. We have been experiencing disrespectful behavior toward the cafe staff and trash being thrown on the floor. We are hoping that we can correct these issues with your support.
We are continuing to work on bus behavior. Improvement has been noticeable with fewer office referrals. Please continue to reinforce positive bus behavior. Make sure students understand that they are to remain seated at all times unless they are exiting the bus at their stop or at school. The purpose of the bus is to get your child to and from school safely.
Students are earning Generali STARS for showing positive behavior and following the Generali School Pledge. Students are entered to win prizes at the end of the week when their star is put into the STAR JAR… Good luck to all.
