21st Century Community Learning Centers Grant 2018-19

Educators of Year Announced

Thirty-one teachers, three paraprofessionals, one administrator, and one support staff person of the year will be honored at a ceremony at Crosby High School on Thursday, June 14th, at 4:30 p.m. The Administrator of the Year and the Waterbury Teacher of the Year will be announced at that time. Moving on to National Invention Convention

Caleb Smith, a 5th grader at Rotella, was selected to go on to the National Invention Convention in Washington DC on June 3rd.  We had 19 finalists compete at UCONN this past weekend, and we received two other awards, both to Caleb.  It was a great experience for the students, and Waterbury was well represented. 

Open House Postponed

Maloney’s 2017 Lottery Open House scheduled for tonight has been rescheduled to Tuesday, January 24 at 6 pm. 

 

Crazy Hair Day

All students with no write ups and have all homework assignments turned in for the month of April may participate! 

Book Fair

Book fair will be open during school hours and during parent conferences on April 29th from 5-7pm.

The Rotella Interdistrict Magnet School opened in 2000. The student body consists of students in grades pre-K through five who reside in Waterbury and its surrounding towns. Our school motto is "It STARts with the ARTS".

The Connecticut State Department of Education (CSDE) is conducting Parent Surveys for randomly selected students with disabilities in a number of CT school districts. As a part of CT’s Focused Monitoring System, our district has been selected to participate!

Accommodations for Holidays
