Library News Summer 2020

Reading all summer long will keep your skills sharp and help you do better in school next year!  It’s true!

Read whatever you like!  Graphic novels, chapter books, comic books, magazines or picture books.  Read outside under a tree or by the pool.  What you read and where you read are up to you as long as you are reading every day!

You can visit the Silas Bronson Library to borrow books.  You can get free ebooks on the Barnes and Nobles website.  You can read articles at National Geographic Kids or the San Diego Zoo right here on my website.

You can also listen to read alouds of popular children’s books on YouTube or from Vooks.   If you liked the story Last Day Blues read by Ryan and Craig, you can go to their website to hear more stories (www.ryanandcraig.com.) or click on the link below.   The link for Vooks is below, too!

Try some of the fun reading activities on the chart I sent you with your Summer Reading Log.  After you read a book, write the title on the Reading Log and rate the book.  You can use the same books you read for me on the Barnes and Noble reading log and get a free book!  Read more about the B & N Summer Reading Giveaway below.  Remember, if you return the reading activities chart or log to me next year, you’ll get a treat!  Have a great summer and keep reading!
