Principal's Message

Jennifer Rosser

Dear Woodrow Wilson Parents, Students and Community,

As principal of Wilson, it is my pleasure to welcome everyone back to the 2019-2020 school year, which is planned to be another great year of learning, teamwork and growth. We are all excited to have students back in our classrooms filled with enthusiasm to learn. It is our mission to help every child feel welcomed, connected and a special part of the Woodrow Wilson family. We look forward to working together in a strong partnership that allows each and every student to be supported, encouraged and challenged to grow in his or her academic abilities year after year to be college and career ready by the end of their high school academic journey.

At Wilson we have great teachers who spend hours planning and creating classroom activities to engage our students in their learning. Our teachers utilize research-based best practices and analyze academic data to determine current skill levels and to set goals for growth and improvement. We believe that all students should receive the best in elementary education as the foundational basis to be prepared for higher education, meaningful careers and productive citizenship.

We hope that you will find our website helpful and informative, as our monthly newsletter is posted, as well as all the exciting upcoming events throughout the year. Each teacher works hard to keep our Wilson parents, students & community well-informed by providing DOJO messages and their own class web pages about the great things happening in their classrooms and throughout our school. Excellent online learning resources are also available and can be accessed directly from our school web page.

As we begin our 6th year together, I am honored to continue to serve as the principal of Woodrow Wilson Elementary School. It is truly a privilege to be a part of a school community where parents, teachers and students care for each other and build positive relationships that support the best in their academic and social development.

Once again, welcome back! Let’s make it another great year at Wilson together! And remember come to school everyday – BECAUSE ATTENDANCE MATTERS.

Best Regards,

Jennifer Rosser
