NEASC REPORT

WAMS NEASC

- With input from teachers, students, and parents, the Waterbury Arts Magnet School has recently upgraded the former mission statement. The new statement will be referred to as Core Values and Beliefs. The Core Values and Beliefs are a NEASC (New England Association of Schools and Colleges) requirement for accredited schools and will also serve as the guiding principles of our school’s learning community. Our goal is to incorporate these Core Values and Beliefs into the fibers of our academic and arts based learning here at WAMS. WAMS will be replacing our former mission statement with the new Core Values and Beliefs on all classroom/hallway posters and official school documents. Students will strive to become respectful, responsible, and productive members of our community by embracing the core values of Preparation, Service, and Integrity. Get acquainted with the new Core Values and Beliefs as well as the 21st century learning expectations below!
