Waterbury Public Schools continues to be actively engaged in the planning process for the reopening of schools. A sincere thank you to everyone who participated in the town halls as well as the Thoughtexchange. We greatly appreciate your input as we reimagine schools for the 2020-2021 school year.
In accordance with current state guidelines, we are planning to resume in-person learning for the 2020-2021 school year. Our plan was submitted to the Connecticut State Department of Education on July 24. Please review it and familiarize yourself with the various options, which include in-person and distance learning models. We understand that many of you are anxious to know which plan the District will choose, and as soon as a decision is reached, it will be shared.
A significant component of planning for the upcoming school year is compiling students’ intent to return to an in-person or virtual learning environment. This information will be critical as we finalize schedules and class size and keep all of our students and staff safe.
Please fill out the questionnaire here for each WPS enrolled student by midnight, Monday, August 3. **Please note that your child's Student ID (lunch code) can be found on their report card.**
Thank you for your continued support.
