The mural is the work of David McDougall, a local artist, who created the personalized artwork over a few months. McDougall worked relentlessly communicating, planning and implementing the design. Through a collaboration with the Connecticut chapter of FoodCorps, a national organization devoted to ensuring children have healthy food choices in school, McDougall used his talents to develop a timeless work of art that captures FoodCorps’ mission and the immeasurable value of its work in the Waterbury community. Mr. McDougall partnered with principal Dr. Patricia Frageau and local FoodCorps members, Jesse Aldo and Abe Zimmerman, to create the mural.
