Vision Statement

Our vision is for children to learn in a caring environment in which they are held to high expectations and supported academically, behaviorally, and socially so all students can reach their greatest potential.


Mission Statement

Our mission at Sprague School is to provide each student a high quality education that supports the development of lifelong learners. We support student achievemenent as we focus on student performance data to contiually improve upon teaching to meet the needs of all children. We value the importance of parental involvement as we strive to maintain a safe environment that fosters respectful and responsible students who will become productive members of our community.


Maloney and Rotella Lottery Information

Lottery applications for Maloney and Rotella will be available from February 1st through February 28th, 2017. Applications will be accepted for grades pre-kindergarten through fifth grade. Applications will be accepted online at (available starting 2/1/17). 

Open House for Prospective Students
Maloney -  rescheduled to January 24, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. 
Rotella - January 11, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

The Lottery will be held on March 8, 2017. Parents will be notified via mail of the lottery wait list numbers during the week of March 27, 2017. 

Kindergarten Registration Announced

All Kindergarten registrations will be processed ONLY at the Waterbury Family Intake Center at One Jefferson Square on the first floor. Registration hours are from 8:15 am until 2:45 pm, Monday through Friday for children who will be 5 years old on or before January 1, 2018. If a language other than English is spoken in the home, then the child MUST be present at the time of registration.
