Sprague Eagles, Parents and Staff!
We're having quite an exciting year here at Sprague School and would like to share some of what we have been working together to accomplish.
Literacy remains a primary focus for Sprague School and as such we have reading teachers, tutors and of course, our regular teachers focusing on reading. Please help us make our students the strongest readers around by having them read out loud and to themselves every night. Reading aloud grows young brains and gives students a chance to show what they know.
Our students have been achieving behavioral excellence by adhering to the four behavioral expectations of all Sprague Eagles allowing them to S.O.A.R. - Self-Control, Organization, Achievement, and Respect. Please ask students about their red eagles, this means they have been recognized for their outstanding behavior during the school day. Students are deservedly proud when they earn an eagle and a big high five or hug for their efforts is in order. Please also look for your child's PBIS calendar each night (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support) and initial and return it the next day. This chart gives parents and guardians an idea of how students are coping with the daily behavioral expectations.
If you do not have log-in information for your child's Progress Book account, please request one from the Main Office. Teachers use Progress Books to record grades for assignments, homework and also attendance. It is another way for us to keep you informed.
The year is far from over and we must make great use of all the school time that we are given. Let's redouble our efforts to make Sprague Eagles S.O.A.R.!
