What is a Family-School Compact?

A Family-School Compact for Achievement is a voluntary agreement co-developed by parents, students and teachers.  It describes what actions parents, school staff and students will take to share mutual responsibility for improving student achievement.

Effective Compacts:

¨ Begin with standards

¨ Focus on student learning

¨ Respond to school data

¨ Define everyone’s responsibilities

¨ Count on us to believe in it and use it
