What is Student Success Agency?

Student Success Agency is the first agency that represents students instead of celebrities and athletes. SSA collaborated with Waterbury Public Schools to offer students their own Agent to provide afterschool and weekend support services such as tutoring, postsecondary advising, and mental health coaching conveniently from students' electronic devices at home or on the go. This suite of services aligned with their district's initiative to produce an individualized student success plan for every student that shows contextualized student-level data and outcomes around academic, career, and social-emotional development.

 Students can receive the following services through their freshman year of college:

• Access to safe and secure SSA services anywhere, anytime

• Monthly messaging about academic college, career, and life success

• Unlimited tutoring and homework help from the SSA Specialists

• Resources for FAFSA completion and scholarships

SSA's Specialists are subject matter experts who provide unlimited tutoring support to students, including after school and on the weekends, in the following areas and many more:

• Math

• Science

• English

• Social studies

• Art

• Business

• Mindfulness

• Stress relief

• Yoga

• Financial aid

• Career readiness

Who We Serve at Waterbury

Our partnership with Waterbury School District started in April of 2022. We currently partner with seven schools across the district including: Crosby High School, Enlightenment School, Kennedy High School, State Street School, Waterbury Arts Magnet School, Waterbury Career Academy High School and Wilby High School. To date, over half of the Waterbury students we serve engage on the platform monthly and have taken important steps to achieve their goals and dreams alongside their Agent!
