Waterbury Public Schools is implementing a new residency verification program, CLEAR ID Confirm, to ensure each student’s address is accurate and current. This system will help the district meet legal requirements, prevent residency fraud, and ensure resources are fairly distributed. Why are we using CLEAR ID Confirm?
● Fair Resource Allocation: Accurate residency data ensures funding, staffing, and programs are provided to the students who live within our district or have been accepted to our Magnet Schools.
● Preventing Fraud: Helps identify students attending schools who live outside of Waterbury, preventing overcrowding and protecting resources.
● Maintaining Quality Education: Proper resource distribution supports manageable class sizes and effective use of facilities.
● Building Public Trust: Transparent residency procedures ensure fairness and equal access for all district residents.
