Effective July 1, 2023, in accordance with Connecticut Substitute House Bill 5003-Public Act 23-208, children entering kindergarten for the 2024-2025 school year must turn 5 on or before September 1, 2024. Children who turn 5 on September 2, 2024, through September 1, 2025, will now enter kindergarten in the 2025-2026 school year.
***Children who do not meet the new entry cutoff date may still be admitted into kindergarten upon submission of a written request from the parent or guardian to the Office of Early Childhood and schedule testing using approved District standardized measures. - If the student and the parent/guardian live in a dwelling rented or owned and occupied by another person, the person who owns or rents the dwelling must complete/sign the Residency Verification Affidavit (Rev 11-3-23) (English | Spanish | Portuguese | Albanian)

INSTRUCTIONS FOR ONLINE REGISTRATION
- Select either English or Spanish below.
- Select Create an Account by using your existing email address and create a password (or use your existing account).
You will have at least five pages of questions to answer and a section to upload the required documents
Once you come to the Summary Page, if everything is checked off in "GREEN" under status, you can click "Submit." (If you do not have the required documents, you can press Save and Exit so you can go back in and upload them. If you press Submit, you can no longer access the enrollment.)
If you have any RED marks, you will need to go back to those sections and correct the error(s).
When you receive a message saying, "Do you want to print your application," your enrollment has been submitted.
If we received partial or no documents, you will receive an email stating what is still required to enroll your child.
Once the enrollment is submitted and all required documents are received and up-to-date, you will receive a School Assignment email. Please check your email/spam and junk mail. Documents can be faxed, emailed or dropped off at our office after completing the enrollment online.
Now that you have submitted all the required forms for WPS, please read and familiarize yourself and your child(ren) with the District’s Policies and Guidelines.
