Vision

Crossroads Academy envisions a safe, supportive, and empowering learning community where students facing significant challenges are given the opportunity to reset, grow, and reimagine their future.

Mission

Crossroads Academy provides students with the tools, guidance, and opportunities to make positive choices, strengthen academic and social-emotional skills, and prepare for a successful transition back to their school community after serving an expulsion.

    • Create a structured setting where students feel respected, valued, and motivated to succeed.

    • Prepare students for a smooth return to their school community, post-secondary education, or workforce pathways by equipping them with the skills and confidence to move forward.

At Crossroads Academy, every student is recognized not for past mistakes, but for their potential. We believe that at every crossroads, students can choose a better path — and we are here to walk with them toward success.

About us

  • Students enrolled in the Expulsion Academy arrive for 4pm.  They directly report to their classes where they have a check-in period with a variety of staff members, included but not limited to the School Social Worker, Behavioral Counselors, Para-Professionals, Special Education Teacher and/or Certified ELA/Math staff.

 

  • Academic blocks begin after the initial transition.  All classes are Para/Special Education teacher supported.

 

  • Students remain in the same room as staff transition from ELA to Math.

 

  • Calls are made every evening by 4:30pm for those students not present.

 

  • Administration meets with students weekly relevant to their Expulsion completion date to review the ILP process.  Providers, families and community supports can be present to create a smooth transition plan..

 

  • Ongoing correspondence with district Middle & High Schools occurs to establish a smooth transition

 

  • Students have access to ESL/ELL support

Online Learning

Mondays and Fridays.
